Hypnotic Phenomenon Just for Stage Hypnosis?

Regression to Cause Hypnosis

Think arm catalepsy is just for stage hypnotism?

If you think arm catalepsy is just for show you’d be wrong.

Hypnotic phenomenon has a useful function in the therapeutic setting.  For example, arm catalepsy makes a great convincer.

Convincers provide proof to the client that hypnosis is happening.  This idea converts to belief that it’s possible to get real and lasting change using hypnosis.  And belief is the foundation of creating change using the mind.

Convincers are extremely valuable when you’re working with an analytical, skeptical or pain client in hypnosis.

Provide proof that hypnosis is happening and your clients will be much more willing to accept your suggestions.

Whether you’re offering direct suggestions for change or instructions to let their Subconscious Mind carry them back to a past event, using a convincer is a simple solution to setting yourself to get great results with hypnosis.  And you won’t have to work so hard to get them, either.

Watch this video of the Grand Master and Dean of Hypnosis, Ormond McGill, demonstrate arm catalepsy.

I had dinner with Ormond McGill in Las Vegas (and several other luminaries) shortly before he died.  He was truly an extraordinary man.

If you’re interested in learning a variety of induction and deepening techniques check out his book “Professional Stage Hypnotism“.
